The museum city

Munich is primarily known, beyond its borders, for its 3 Pinakotheks – the Old, New, and Modern: museums that house several masterpieces of european painting. Built for the 1972 olympic games, the 3 km² olympic park located to the north of Munich is one of the city's modern symbols. It features a glass tent-shaped roof and a 290-meter-high tower. In addition to sporting events, the park offers a range of leisure activities, such as the summer fair and the Tollwood theater festival.

Bavarian tradition

For beer lovers, Oktoberfest, the Beer festival, is an old Bavarian tradition that takes place between September… and October. This large fair is famous for its festive and family-friendly atmosphere, starting with a parade of people in traditional costumes and continuing under a large tent where it's great to listen to music and drink beer… preferably german beer !
