A Taste of Authentic Morocco

Oujda is relatively unknown, yet one of Morocco’s most traditional towns, steeped in rich history. Pass through the gate at Bab Sidi Abedelouhabe and take a trip back to the 11th century. Inside, you’ll discover the Medina, the Great Mosque of Al Kabir and Souks. And to round the day off, take a walk in the shade along the palm trees in Parc Lalla Meryem.

The delicious smell of food coming from the Medina will certainly leave your mouth watering! With a diverse cuisine, make sure to try some of Morocco’s famous dishes such as couscous, honey pastries and Bakbouka. And whilst you’re in Oujda, don’t miss out on some of the local delicacies such as Msemmen, a small flay pancake made from semolina flour. Sea, Caves and Forest

From Oudja, it is easy to get lost in stunning natural sites such as the Zegzel Valley. Surrounding by tall trees and orange groves are the Grotte du Chameau and the Grotte des Pigeons, caves famous for their carvings. The famous Saïdia beach is around 60km from the town. With its fine sand and crystal-clear water, it is one of the most beautiful beaches in Morocco, also known as "the blue pearl".
